25 Americans Die Every Day Waiting for a Kidney.
Some die while on the waiting list. Others become too sick to receive a transplant.
Together We Can End the Kidney Shortage.
Questions: ElainePerlman@modifynota.org
How Would the End Kidney Deaths Act Work?
Three simple steps:
A healthy American volunteers to donate a kidney to a stranger.
The donor undergoes rigorous medical and psychological screening.
After donating, the donor receives a $50,000 refundable tax credit over five years.
Why Reward Kidney Donors?
We pay surgeons to perform lifesaving kidney transplants, and rightly so. But without someone willing to donate a kidney, there would be no transplant.
The End Kidney Deaths Act recognizes the extraordinary generosity of Americans who donate kidneys to save strangers' lives.
Who We Are:
We are a national movement of kidney donors, transplant recipients, dialysis patients, doctors, nurses, researchers, and advocates working to end the kidney shortage.
Our goal is simple and urgent: No one in America should die waiting for a kidney.
